In the time I’m updating my Getting Started pages and connected RPi to power for just making short command line experiments to make sure what I’m typing is correct, it successfully overheat and burned out 🙁
Need to note that the heat-sink solution is still on its way to me from China for too long time already. 🙁
While this never happened to my RPi ModelB this did happen to RPi ModelB+ (4 usb ports) with WIFi dongle, KVM and Ethernet connected.
Be its soul restring in peace and it is welcome to my ” home spare parts factory” where it will be taken apart for very small and pretty parts which will get a new life in my future experiments and prototypes 🙂
