BASIC PRINCIPLES

• eating fewer -> light/intermittent/periodic fasting -> autophagy (cell level cleansing). Fasting lowers inflamation by 1) not eating toxins 2) ketons are anti-inflamatory. metabolic flexibility (Dave Asprey) – changing of eating patterns from time to time to make body ready to get energy from any source available (sugar or ketons). Senescent cells are cells that stopped dividing consecuently slowing corresponding tissue renewal and ageing. One of the best-known ways to remove senescent cells is by stimulating autophagy, essentially a process where our cells digest themselves. By fasting, cells are encouraged to initiate the autophagy process (without adverse side effects) and clear out those unwanted senescent cells. Some dietary supplements also stimulate autophagy with other beneficial effects on the cardiovascular and nervous systems, which include resveratrol, curcumin, and spermidine. Because senescent cells spread inflammation at the systemic level through pro-oxidant and pro-inflammatory signals, foods rich in polyphenols, which exert antioxidant and antiinflammatory effects, have the promise to be utilized as “anti-senescence foods” in a nutraceutical approach to healthier aging.

FITNESS++

• Moving daily as much as possible: walks/jog (we need body working and impact on bones for regeneration). Walking during phone calls, standing work-place.
• Excersising several times a week to get out-of-breath. Interval training (with pulse peaks and drops) has more health benefits than long static effort

SUPPLEMENTS

The most promising antioxidants currently in clinical trials for treating cognitive dysfunction in aging and AD include resveratrol (RESV) and curcumin (CUR). Both RESV and CUR are safe, well-tolerated and beneficial with minimal side effects.

• Resverathrol – increases muscle turnover, lipid metabolism, and accumulation of long-chain saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated free fatty acids, and produced beneficial alterations in gut microbiota; efficient for reducing blood pressure to normal levels; prevention of liver damage; improve memory performance;

For correct 1009 calculation .CSV file need to be fixed (before the script activation) by replacing the pre-SPAC ticker (and corresponding empty ticker-change line) with the FINAL ticker name of the company
• import resulting CSV file, sort by ‘Date Sold’ filed and delete all the lines related to previous years (not the one you are interesd in)
• Summarize ‘Total Gain/Loss’ column

– According to different criterias one can be defined as a trader OR an investor. This definition affects tax paid for profits. Described here in hebrew

CONCLUSIONS:
– be aware not just of resulting portfolio size BUT also of your formal profits (generated at sale points)
– it’s may be (in some cases) better to ballance/compensate/offset TAXABLE profits with losses before end of tax year (by selling with loss, and consequent buying back with current price if you still believe in the company in long term)
– be aware of amount of trading (and other characteristics of your activities) you do yearly and how this may be perceived by Israel tax authorities (investor/trader wise)
– do not forget to download your 1099 .CSV report every year

With purpose to be able doing cheaper [$3] 3-day ACH transfers (instead expensive [$30] one-day wire) you need to a setup ACH transfer agreement.

ACH acronym stands for Automated Clearing House (ACH).

ACH is the primary system that agencies use for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

  But, NOTE: ACH transfer has to be initiated on Firstrade’s end using the following steps

Upon checking on this with the concerned department, I would like to bring to your kind notice that as per the recent update, the star rating on a product is not all average ratings but Amazon uses a machine learned algorithm to calculate the weighted star rating (Average Customer Rating on Retail website). Because of this, the product is currently having only one star rating even though it has 67% of 5-star reviews. Moreover, there are currently only 3 customer reviews on the ASIN: **** and as one of them is a negative review, it has an impact on the overall star rating of the product.

Also, I would like to let you know that the new system, a product’s star rating will be a weighted average. Please understand that we will test a number of factors to determine how to arrive at a weighting algorithm including recency of a review, whether or not it is verified, reviewer trustworthiness, review trustworthiness, recent helpfulness votes on a review. The new ratings system will also take into account one-tap ratings, which are ratings without a review. 

Reviews will be ranked using an algorithm similar to the rating algorithm to ensure that the most useful reviews are surfaced above others. 

We will also modify the layout of the reviews section on the detail page to provide more confidence. Prominent changes include a modified histogram, removal of “most recent reviews” panel, inclusion of trust line, and a streamlined design. 

Please understand that this will provide a star rating that is more representative of the current product. It will ensure that helpful reviews remain relevant and timely. Today I got my first business purchase

“Inventory Placement Service (IPS)

When you setup your Amazon Seller’s Account, your default shipping setting will be Distributed Inventory Placement. Using this option causes your shipments to often be broken up and racks up the cost of shipping. (Less efficient shipments as we touched on already.)

However, if you go into your settings you can change your shipping settings to Inventory Placement Service. This will allow you to ship all of your products to ONE, maximum TWO warehouses if you are shipping oversized products too. Hallelujah!

What’s the catch?

Amazon obviously charges a fee for this service. For standard sized products, pricing will start at $.30 per unit and go up to $1.30/unit for oversized items. Below is the link to the charges. (Keep in mind that these fees are taken out of your disbursements and are not factored into your shipping charges that are displayed when you print your shipping labels.)

In addition to fees, there’s one other catch with IPS. Unfortunately, using IPS means that your inventory will take a lot longer to be received and listed. That’s because IPS makes you ship all of your product to one warehouse and then Amazon breaks up that shipment and sends it to different FBA warehouses all over the country. (Hence, the fees charged.)

Due to this, Nessa and I go back and forth between using IPS or Distributed Inventory Placement. For us, we simply consider if the savings is worth the longer receiving times. Now, if you want to give it a shot…

How do you set this up?

• From your seller’s dashboard, scroll over “settings” in the upper right hand corner.
• A drop down menu will open and you should see “Fulfillment By Amazon” at the very bottom. Click on that.
• There you will see “Inbound Settings.” And under that, “Inventory Placement Option.”
• Click edit on the right hand side and simply select “Inventory Placement Service.”

Now every time you process a shipment, it will all go to the same FBA warehouse! Woohoo!”
